was born in Itapetininga, Brazil on November 7th 1947. In 1983 she received a MA from the Sao Paulo Fine Arts Academy. Since 1991 she has been living and working in Vienna, Austria. During the last 25 years she has focused her work on experiments with basic materials - especially clay and wood - and photography. In the 1980s she worked in Northern California where she built a low temperature kiln to fire her own pieces. The landscape of California influenced her photographic work as shown in her exhibition "Mendocino" (Vienna, 1999). Her latest project is a rainwater harvesting tank built of concrete and wire mash in Paraibuna, Brazil. She has traveled extensively in her native Brazil, as well as Europe, the USA and some Southern African countries (Zambia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mozambique). Her impressions about these experiences were shown in the exhibition "Afrika-Amerika" in 1996 in Vienna, Austria. She also works as an artistic designer for living environments, artistic supervision for art shows and color consulting.
